Finished in the deep and lustrous Aubergine gloss—a striking metallic plum/dark-violet paired with an aged white pearloid pickguard—this 2021 model features the official 75th Anniversary commemorative neck plate, adding a touch of Fender history to a killer instrument.

Yosemite Pickups & Greasebucket Tone Circuit

Unlike traditional single-pickup Mustangs, the American Performer expands your sonic range by pairing a punchy Yosemite Split-Coil Mustang middle pickup with a growling Yosemite Single-Coil Jazz Bass bridge pickup. Engineered specifically for the Performer series with flat-staggered pole pieces and shellac coating, these pickups yield higher output while controlling feedback.

To fine-tune your sound, Fender loaded this model with their proprietary Greasebucket™ Tone Circuit. This unique feature allows you to roll off the high frequencies without adding muddy low-end or losing output gain, keeping your basslines defined and punchy in any mix.
