Listening to Music History book & cd MacGregor

This pack contains 36 recordings drawn from the major historical periods of Western music. With it, teachers can give children both an overview of music history and close-up practical experience of music-making through the ages in church, court, concert hall and home. The music is set within its social context and can be linked with the study of general history topics. The approach is accessible to everyone, requiring no music-reading ability. Photocopiable material is included along with supplementary recordings supporting the activities.
